The oeuvre of Anton Henning is characterised by an unremitting engagement with a heterogeneity of art historic styles, genres and media. In combination with artist’s light palette of broken colors his works thereby create a total setting in which you could feel at home. It is reminiscent of a fairly recent past, but is nevertheless unmistakably contemporary. Henning exposes all cultural clichés and renounces all notions of the concept of ‘good taste’, creating a space where high and low could meet.
