John Miller

Lost Years, 2008

Sculpture
Imitation gold leaf on assorted objects on a hollow-core panel
172,7 × 167,6 × 38,1 cm

John Miller’s relief works bring sculptural elements into the idiom of painting, lumping together disparate plastic objects into amorphous assemblages. Glued together and mired in faux gold these objects are devoid of practical use and present mock archeology of consumerist lifestyle choices.
