This work from ‘Pictures of Garbage’ series is an appropriation of painting by the French romantic artist Eugène Delacroix.

Delacroix took the plot from the famous tragedy of the ancient Greek writer Euripides “Medea”.

According to the myth, after Medea finds out about her lover Jason’s infidelity, she decides to take revenge and kills his new wife, as well as their common children.
