Tal R | Moonwalk

The exhibition presents a focused survey of Tal R’s sculptural practice over the past 20 years. One of Denmark’s most influential contemporary artists, Tal R is known for his vivid, expressive visual language and his ongoing exploration of transformation, materiality, and the unfinished.

The exhibition brings together a wide range of sculptures in clay, bronze, wood, plaster, textile, and other materials. Playful, mythical, humorous, and melancholic in character, the works appear as hybrid assemblages that merge familiar and unfamiliar forms, inviting open interpretation.

Central to Tal R’s practice is the activation of the viewer: the sculptures unfold in the moment of perception, generating shifting meanings and individual responses. Following the exhibition, a monumental sculpture from Moonwalk will become part of the Gammel Holtegaard’s upcoming permanent sculpture park.
