However, a closer inspection reveals that the vibrant blocks of color are not pure abstractions but redactions—censorship masking potentially harrowing truths. Some of these documents were so extensively blacked out that little, if anything, remained legible, transforming the bold, cheery hues into ominous veils of obscured information.
