The work “Bad Planet”, 2005 by Roxy Paine, underscores the artist’s pessimism: a gruesomely blotchy, uninhabitable orb that looks like a hapless planet from “The Little Prince,” about to implode from its own inner corruption.

The other critical idea is translation – translation between two seemingly incompatible languages; systems and scales of time, geological forces and pipes, the power of government and the force of wind.”
