Known for bright colors and expansive imagery paintings, Tal R plants various strategic challenges to the viewer’s education such as the knowledge of reflection and perspective, defying the narrative solely based on what we know and what we see.
“What makes a painting beautiful is not about what’s in the painting. It is that you feel that somewhere inside the artwork is a pointing finger. You start moving in that direction. You start having a debate. If the artwork is doing this, it’s a great artwork.” – the artist says.
